Please note that all laptop purchases are bound by the following terms:

  • Laptop seller must be laptop owner
  • Seller must be prepared to produce valid government issued photo ID
  • All laptops must be left overnight for ownership validation
  • Higher prices paid for laptops which have been fully diagnosed
  • Diagnostic fees, where applicable, deducted from final payment
  • Data recovery fees extra
  • All original disks, if any, must be surrendered

Please note that all laptop repairs are bound by the following terms:

  • Repaired and/or diagnosed laptops may acquire minor blemishes during the diagnostic and/or repair process. We guarantee that these blemishes will in no way affect the working performance of the laptop.
  • Failed components and connections on most laptops, especially power-related, may continue to work intermittently prior to repair but cease to work when the laptop is disassembled. This may render the laptop unusable without major repairs. OWNER AGREES TO HOLD POPEK ENTERPRISES HARMLESS FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE DISSASEMBLY OF THEIR COMPUTER.
  • Certain model laptops have components that are designed to fail when disassembled; Those models will require paid replacement of said components, whether such design was accidental or intentional by the manufacturer. OWNER AGREES TO HOLD POPEK ENTERPRISES HARMLESS FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGES TO INTERNAL COMPONENTS AND CONNECTIONS ARISING FROM THE DISSASEMBLY OF THEIR COMPUTER.

Please note that all computer repairs, including laptop repairs, are bound by the following terms:

  • Popek Enterprises cannot guarantee that any data will be recovered from computers being purchased or repaired. Owners are strongly advised to make and keep backup copies of all essenitial information stored on their computers. Labor fees accrued in the recovery process shall remain payable, even though no data was recovered; No data recovery action will be performed without prepayment of these non-refundable labor fees.
  • Components and/or software necessary for repair, but not available in the inventory of Popek Enterprises, will need to be ordered, possibly causing a delay in the repair process. Popek Enterprises will notify the computer owner of the need to order such components and/or software, but cannot guarantee time of arrival.
  • Due to problems that may arise during the repair process, the promised date of repair is not binding unless promised in writing and all components necessary for repair are available in the inventory of Popek Enterprises.
  • Components installed by Popek Enterprises are guaranteed to be without defect for up to 7 days from date of installation. Warranties of up to 30 days are available on certain new components, but only where in writing.
  • Warranties longer than 30 days are available only from the component manufacturer on new products and claims must be made to the manufacturer. Popek Enterprises can act as conduit for such claims, as long as shipping and labor fees are paid by the claimant.
  • Popek Enterprises, may, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any failed component subject to warranty. Popek Enterprises will use refurbished and/or used parts for replacement(s), except where the manufacturer agrees to provide new part(s) for replacement(s).
  • Due to the nature of software programming, security and robustness, labor fees associated with software installation(s) are not covered under any warranty or guarantee, including, but not limited to, guarantees of fitness and/or proper function.
  • TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MAY POPEK ENTERPRISES, NOR ITS OWNERS OR EMPLOYEES, BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER FORSEEN OR UNFORSEEN, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF NEW, USED, REFURBISHED OR REPAIRED COMPUTER HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE.
